Christmas gifts!

Last year was Vivienne’s first Christmas but this year will be the first where she is much more alert and aware of her surroundings. We are planning Vivienne’s first Christmas with decorations, gifts and even Patrick dressed as Santa! I’m not sure if I will host Christmas dinner this year. I would like to but Patrick thinks it’s too much work (and it was a lot of work last year!).

Gifts we are planning on getting Vivienne:
- Thomas Train Table set
- An indoor play structure
- A kitchen set

I already have 2 Christmas dresses for her. 1 will be for Christmas dinner and pictures. The other will be for Christmas day, to visit relatives.

Now that I have VV, I just LOVE Christmas!

I haven’t posted in so long! We had her birthday party in October and I have tons of pictures to share. Since my last post, I have gone back to work, Vivienne is now in daycare, she has turned 1, and more! I promise I will update this blog later … For now, check out these videos of my baby girl WALKING!

Lucky to have Vivienne at home

One would think I’d be used to it by now since Hubby has been going on trips for work since I met him but I’m not used to it at all. It gets pretty lonely here when Hubby goes away so often. I do go out and see people (we went to Cityview today for a playgroup) but I miss his presence. Atleast I have Vivienne here to keep me company now.

And a LOT of company she IS! Except for when she is napping or sleeping (like she is now).

Here are some pictures of Vivienne in her new Dino Ride-on. She hasn’t started pushing forward yet but she has wheeled herself backwards a few times. She loves the music and bobs her head when she presses the buttons on the Dino. What a fun girl!!

Vivienne has been such a good girl this week! I have noticed that her top 4 teeths are much more prominent now. I think that’s why she’s sleeping more. I’m so happy that she’s old enough to play now! Today I played hide and seek with her. I basically went around her play pen and made noises until she found me. Yesterday we played soccer while she was in her jumper. She loves to kick the ball with her strong legs! I really, really love having a daughter. When she woke up from her nap this morning, we just relaxed on the couch and I gave her a massage. I love this girl!!

Daddy is away again this week. This time he is in Pheonix. I’m lucky that my brother is staying with us. He helps me with Vivienne and gives me a well-deserved break!

Today Vivienne was actually the easiest she has ever been with me while Patrick has been away. Despite my bad back, a sore muscle in my leg from a cramp this morning, a root canal from Friday — Vivienne was actually in a good mood! She had her moments but for the majority of the day, she took her naps and was FUN! At lunch time, we had some fun when we took turns feeding each other Nutrios! I love having a daughter!!!!

We started sleep training her again last Thursday night. Patrick set up her crib again so that she wouldn’t be able to crawl out. First night she cried for about 45 minutes. Second night she cried for like 2 minutes. Third night she relapsed and woke up 3 times. Last night she slept from 8:30pm straight until 3:30am (we think Patrick woke her up when he was getting ready). Went back to sleep by 4:00am and woke up for good at 6:00am (her usual time). I’m still not sure when her naps are. They change weekly which makes it hard to plan to do things outside of the house.

Dinner tonight for Vivienne – Carrot, salmon congee. She eagerly gobbled this down. For dessert, she had cantaloupe and banana puree.

How can you tell when to stop feeding your baby? Vivienne always seems to want more food!

I have been taking Fenugreek to help increase my breastmilk production, has anyone else tried this?
