Nap time!

Today was a typical Sunday morning.   We went downtown and went to the French bakery market.   We munched on croissants, danishes and sipped cappucinos.

Afterwards we strolled around the market and went to the bookstore so that I could get my Network+ certification book.   Vivienne had fun in the children’s area.

Yesterday Vivienne had gymnastics.

After gymnastics, we had breakfast under our gazebo at home.   After breakfast,  we drove to Brockville to visit Grandma and Grandpa Lam.  We went to Ogdensburg for a change of scenery but there was not much there.

Vivienne has had a great weekend!

After breakfast we pondered over where to go next.   We considered going to the Science Technology Museum but realized that Vivienne is likely too small to appreciate it.   After Patrick shot down my suggestion to go back to the Agriculture Museum,  I suggested we go visit his family.

Here are some pics and a video:

Summer in Ottawa

This summer, we decided to stay home for our vacation.  We have done a lot of work in the backyard this summer so enjoying our time off at home makes sense.

Today I took Vivienne to the splash park near our house, twice.  I looked away from her for max 5 seconds and she poured dirty, sandy water into her mouth with a toy shovel.

After spending about 1.5 hours there, we came home to prepare for a picnic with Daddy.

Here are some pictures from this summer:

22 Months!

Image

Wow I can hardly believe that my last post was back in December!  I actually still write about once a month but my writing is all done in the paper diary beside my bed.

At 22 months, Vivienne is no longer a baby — she is almost a pre-schooler!  She has many activities, hobbies and her personality is definitely shining through every day.  She has a pretty big vocabulary now and can form all kinds of questions and sentences.

Vivienne’s loves gymnastics.  She is especially great at the balance beam and uneven bars.  Even when we go to the park, she loves to go on the bars and swings from them.  At gymnastics, she can go forwards and backwards over and over again.

Vivienne has SO much personality and she is a girl with many expressions.  I have never seen any girl laugh as nice as her.  Her whole entire face lights up.  I call her my “happy fruit” because that’s what she looks like!
